In Sympathy

So sorry for your loss, your story has touched my heart. My nan passed away last year and it feels like my whole world has been taken away. My thoughts are with you. God bless. I hope you find this poem of comfort, as I have done. x

What is Dying?

A ship sails and I stand watching till she fades on the horizon and someone at my side says 'She is gone'.

Gone where? Gone from my sight, that is all. She is just as large now as when I last saw her. Her diminished size and total loss from my sight is in me, not in her.

And just at the moment when someone at my side says she is gone there are others who are watching her coming over their horizon and other voices take up a glad shout 'There she comes!'

That is what dying is. An horizon and just the limit of our sight.

Lift us up, Oh Lord, that we may see further.

Missing You at Christmas-Time....

Hi Gran, I hope you're doing okay up there in heaven!
We really miss you again this year, nothing's the same ever without you here....
It's wierd not making xmas puddings like 6 months before xmas day and not seeing you sitting a the table in a silly hat out of a cracker!
I wish Bobby could've met you - well I guess he already has because I know you're spirit is still around us and he chats away to someone we can't see but we still feel your presence!

There are times when things get hard and I just wish that you were here to give me some sound advice - you were always the best at giving advice and making sense of things!

Anyway I hope you're okay!

I love you

Until we meet again....

Your loving Great Granddaughter xxxx
